Will Holcomb is a Smithville, Texas writer who spent his career as an elementary school teacher and software engineer before coming to writing at 45, which may explain why his work is less interested in impressing readers than in genuinely connecting with them. He is best known for The Infinite Jeff, a four-book series following Stanley and Jeff, a hitchhiker who never pushes beliefs but instead asks inconvenient questions, the kind that make people pause, reconsider, and struggle toward their own answers. Through moments that are funny, tense, and unexpectedly revealing, the series explores connection, curiosity, and the subtle ways people change one another. Holcomb is also an active playwright with three produced works: Clinically Un-Depressed, a dramatic comedy about a boy who cannot feel sadness; The Puzzler, an award-winning one-act about unlikely connection; and Shakespeare Rocks, written for a youth theater troupe as an accessible introduction to Shakespeare through short scenes from his plays. He explores writing, culture, and human potential in essays on his blog and Medium, continuing conversations his fiction starts but deliberately leaves open.
